So this all started a while back, when Michael Sanders sent me an email talking about an all-online band idea. Even back then I didn't play bass much, and I play it even less now, but it's an intriguing idea. I started playing bass when I was 21. I really wish I had started five years earlier, but oh well.
Sanders is now active in non-online-band mode. Strike Four is the name of his Christian punk rock band. In the Very Low Sodium band tracks that follow, all I did was come up with a bassline. Sanders was the force behind everything else. So if you enjoy these tracks, perhaps you should check out Strike Four next.
I'd love to make another track soon. Really all I want to make is covers right now, which is, I dunno, maybe a little creatively bankrupt? But REM's "(Don't Go Back) To Rockville" refuses to escape my mind. So maybe that's next.
On the tracks that follow, the Very Low Sodium Band consists of:
- Michael Sanders on guitar, vocals, drum machine, everything else
- Veloso on bass
Drop me a line if you're interested in the online band experiment thingy.
Download and enjoy! Please refer people here before sharing the MP3 directly. We'd like to know how many people listen to this, and this way we can get any last-minute improvements distributed.
Destination Moon - This is a They Might Be Giants cover. I'm really proud of how it turned out. Hopefully you'll like it too.
A Tribute To Homestar Runner - Written by Michael Sanders. Oddly enough, this song is what introduced me to Homestar Runner in the first place. Pretty catchy. I like it.
